About Sheryl

Sheryl holds a Master’s in Journalism from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is passionate about communication.

As a part-time translator and copywriter, Sheryl had published a variety of works in different channels and markets, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

Sheryl is now an MA candidate in Translation & Interpretation (Chinese & English) in the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California, seeking another major transformation in both career and personal life.

Originally from Mainland China and had been living in Hong Kong from 2009 to 2023, Sheryl enjoys traveling and appreciating cultures and lifestyles in different places. She loves cooking, badminton, Chinese calligraphy, art, and rock n’ roll.

Sheryl was an experienced retail buyer, who’s fond of telling stories through objects. She believes things communicate in their own languages and their own ways. As a linguist, Sheryl is passionate about helping people to talk and to be heard.
